Karina Sieber (she/her) is from South Carolina and Minnesota, somewhat simultaneously. She is so glad to be here with Plainsong Farm as the Food Equity & Access Fellow! For now, that means she’s spending a lot of time in the fields harvesting beans, weighing bags of microgreens, and picking worms off the kohlrabi plants. Once the farm transitions into its annual wintery slumber, she will be spending more time researching and helping to develop our food access and equity efforts to bring food security to residents of Kent County. She will miss having her hands in the soil when that sleepy day comes, but she is so grateful to have the space here on this farm to nest up in the apple trees and ponder and feel what it is to be alive in this world!
