Orchard wassailing is an over a 1,000 year old ritual, a winter blessing of the trees, during which communities sang and danced amongst the trees, feed the birds that aid the health of the trees, and nourished the roots of the trees with cider and other spirited drinks. Come for a bonfire, singing, hot drinks, and ancients rituals reimagined. All ages are welcome! No RSVP required.

"Old apple tree, we wassail thee,
And hoping thou wilt bear:
For the Lord doth know where we shall be
Till apples come another year.
To bloom well, and to bear well,
So merry let us be:
Let every man take off his hat,
And shout to the old apple tree:
Old apple tree, we wassail thee,
And hoping thou wilt bear,
Hatfuls, capfuls and three bushel bagfulls
And a little heap under the stairs."
