Bring your group to experience the farm, learn about its roots in faith, and help in seasonal, onsite projects which support the farm and community. Projects include things such as working in the gardens, removing invasive species, maintaining conservation projects, turning compost, and much more. Time and space can be made for games, bonfires, and worship experiences. Or you can simply walk the farm and learn more about our work! We'll be happy to accommodate your group's preferences and needs.
We can accommodate up to 25 people. Groups over 25 require extra planning, please inquire to learn more.
Our Farm-Based Educator can also travel to your site for a program in your church garden. Program fees begin at $100 per hourlong session. Please contact email@example.com to learn more and book your group experience.
Our Executive Director the Rev. Nurya Love Parish is available to speak to your congregation in person or online. She has spoken to hundreds and to two or three, as a convention keynote and as a small group leader. Regular presentation topics:
“Christianity, Climate, and Creation” - Developing a practice of Christianity that is fully integrated with the care of Creation is essential. How is Plainsong Farm, as one living laboratory responding to God’s call, contributing to that work? What are the Biblical roots of this ministry, and what does it look like day to day?
“Next Steps in Food Ministry” - Christians have been providing food to those who hunger for countless generations. In every generation, this work is done differently. How are Christians rethinking food ministry today? How can your church help grow a more resilient and equitable food system for the future?
Rev. Parish is also available as a guest preacher for congregations. The cost is generally $125 for an hour presentation, with exceptions made for special circumstances. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and bookings.
Our Good News Gardens Bible Study and Ministry Innovators Cohort are available to churches and leaders either locally or nationally. Contact us if you are interested at email@example.com
Our heirloom wheat program, which brings together Christians from different traditions for hands-on experiences sowing and harvesting wheat for communion bread, is currently on hold due to the pandemic. We anticipate an updated opportunity in 2022.
We also offer online learning opportunities for churches and leaders! Join in the work of Plainsong, wherever you are, by clicking here.
