Deanna grew up on a farm in southwestern Ontario that instilled in her a love of not only growing things but of cultivating community. Deanna is a gatherer—whether its the flowers from her cutting garden or the friends & family she welcomes around the table for a home-cooked meal. She has used her experience as a Master Gardener to work at a program connecting kids with growing food and creating simple meals from the harvest. When she’s not gardening, you’ll find her reading or playing pickleball. Deanna and her husband, Jamie, live in Grand Rapids and are parents of four adult children.
