The Rev. Linnea Stifler

Linnea grew up in the DR Congo but came of age in the US in the early days of the Environmental Movement. Her husband, Michael, worked in environmental protection and the family was active outdoors. Linnea was an Early Childhood Educator, elementary school teacher, and later in life, was ordained priest in the Episcopal Church. Her teaching experience and cross-cultural competence has allowed her to work with an educational non-profit in Kinshasa, DRC, developing curricula for place-based, project-based learning (a school garden, composting, waste management and sustainability). As a parish rector, she facilitated a 66-panel rooftop solar installation on the church and other Creation Care efforts in the community (Hastings). She has been a visitor, personal supporter and initiator of parish support for Plainsong, and now in retirement is looking forward to more involvement with the Farm, as well as with Creation Care efforts in the newly-formed Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes. Her grown children live in southern Indiana, Seattle and Japan.
